We have another layout share for you today. This layout expresses how confidence comes in waves through life - just like the good times and the bad. Sometimes it's easy to get bummed down and by documenting the highs it can help remind you that life is full of hills and if you keep going, you will eventually end up on top again. To be honest, this photo is about 4 years old - when I was younger and at a roller derby game. Would you believe that this layout did not actually use a 12 x 12 piece of paper to start? I had run out, so I used some A4 cardstock and cut a piece down to size, stuck them together with washi tape on the back and then matted them on a whole piece of black cardstock. Just a nifty trick if you find yourself in the same boat. There is a process video of this layout up on our Youtube so feel free to check it out if you would like a walk through of it. The background was created using the Prima - Art Alchemy Liquid Acrylic Paints, Metallique paint, Opal Magic paint, and the Prima Color Bloom 2 sprays. Whew, that is a lot of mixed media products.
The accessories used for this layout all came from the Pinkfresh Studio - Keeping It Real collection. I found that the collection was just as sassy as I needed and I love that it includes phrases like "Ugh" and "Adulting" - the things that describe the lows rather than the highs. This collection is perfect for documenting those Covid-19 times, but also just general life. To finish the layout off and give it a bit more sass (like it needed more), I used the Prima Unicorn Paste through a star stencil using my Prima 1" Silicone wedge brush. This has to be one of my favourite mediums as it starts off white with flecks of iridescent shine and dries clear and sparkly.
Well that is it for the layout, but if you like the layout or any of the items we have used we would love to know. Drop us a comment down below and let us know what item is your favourite.
Have a great day friends xx
